Technical manufacturing is evolving: R&D departments and procurement teams are seeking agile, reliable, and comprehensive solutions that go far beyond simple prototyping. To meet this shift, MadeInAdd is launching a new service: online production of finished large-format parts via Additive Manufacturing—assembled in-house—using FDM and SLS technologies, along with a significant expansion of CNC materials available.

The first online platform for large-format, finished, and assembled parts

With this new service, MadeInAdd becomes the first digital provider of finished, large-scale parts that are pre-assembled. This means:

  • We print finished large-format parts
  • We assemble them in-house, ensuring functionality, precision, and structural quality
  • We deliver them ready for integration into the final system

All of this is accessible directly from the platform, with the speed and simplicity typical of our on-demand approach.

Key benefits:

  • Drastically reduced internal post-processing time and complexity
  • Eliminates the need for third-party coordination for assembly
  • Improves lead time for large-scale projects
  • Enables handling of large functional structures, advanced prototypes, or complex jigs and fixtures

Additive technologies: FDM and SLS tailored for industrial-scale production

The new offering leverages two proven additive manufacturing technologies, now scaled for large-format production and integrated into assembly workflows:

  • FDM Large Format: For rigid, strong, lightweight, and fast-to-produce parts (ABS, PA-GF, CF, technical PLA)
  • SLS with advanced materials: For complex, functional, elastic, or high-performance components (PA12, TPU, ESD-safe)

Typical applications:

  • Jigs and assembly line fixtures
  • Covers, panels, and technical frames
  • Functional models for aerodynamic and structural testing
  • Full-scale product prototypes

Expanded CNC materials: more metals, more precision, more manufacturing power

In addition to additive manufacturing, MadeInAdd has also expanded its CNC offering, enhancing access to machining on technical materials for advanced industrial applications.

New CNC materials available:

  • High-strength steels: 4140 (42CrMo4), 16MnCr5, 20MnCr5, H13, C45
  • Stainless and alloyed steels: AISI 304, AISI 420, Duplex
  • Aluminum alloys: Al5083, Al6061, Al7075, Al2024, Al7050

Included technologies:

  • 5-axis machining, horizontal and vertical turning
  • Heat treatments and custom machining

This expansion enables the production of structural mechanical components, mold inserts, fatigue- and wear-resistant parts, and components for automation and robotics.

A single digital hub for the entire manufacturing and product lifecycle

With these updates, MadeInAdd is no longer just a 3D printing platform. It becomes a comprehensive hub for on-demand technical manufacturing, capable of:

  • Managing complex multi-component projects
  • Producing large, pre-assembled parts
  • Offering CNC materials and technologies for critical metals
  • Reducing product development and technical validation timelines
